The Water and Sewerage Authority advises customers in the area of lower Piparo, who are currently experiencing a disruption in their pipe borne water supply that this is due to a ruptured transmission pipeline, located at the Junction of Old Piparo Road and Guaracara Tabaquite Road.
Emergency repair works presently underway are expected to be completed by 12:00 midnight on December 30th.
Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the supply to normalize all affected areas following the completion of repairs.
The Water and Sewerage Authority advises customers in parts of North-East Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant, who are currently experiencing a disruption in their normal scheduled water supply that, this is due to mechanical problems impacting the Raw Water Pump Station at the facility.
Emergency repair works currently underway are expected to be completed by 8:00 a.m. on December 24th.

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North-East Trinidad served by the Hollis Water Treatment Plant, who are experiencing a disruption in their scheduled pipe borne water supply at present, that this is due to a ruptured 24-inch diameter transmission pipeline at LP 73 Eastern Main Road, Wallerfield, in the area of the “Double Bridge”.
The ruptured main is located along a river bed and initial assessment indicates that repair is expected to take approximately 48 hours, given the nature of the job.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) says the water-use restrictions implemented in January 2019 remains in effect.
This as the three main impounding reservoirs in Trinidad remain considerably low for this time of year, a statement by WASA notes.
WASA says the levels of storage and respective Long Term Averages (LTAs) at the authority’s impounding reservoirs as at today – Tuesday 5th November 2019 are as follows.
· Arena: 52.01%, LTA - 80.89%
· Navet: 36.42%, LTA - 80.30%
· Hollis: 44.75%, LTA - 78.71%
· Hillsborough: 100%, LTA - 92.75%
The TTPS is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 17-year-old Shakeira Barker.
Shakeira, of Baird Trace, Signal Hill was last seen at her home around 7:00 am on October 21st.
She was reported missing to the Scarborough Police Station at 8.00 pm on the same day by a relative.
Shakeira, is of African descent, 4 feet 2 inches tall, medium built, and has a light brown complexion and black straight hair. She was last seen wearing a blue and white night gown.
The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers served by the Valsayn A Booster Station that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm.
WASA says this has become necessary in order to undertake emergency mechanical repairs at the facility.
Affected areas include:
· Along the Eastern Main Road from St. Joseph to Aranguez Main Road, San Juan including: Champs Fleurs, Mt. Hope, Mt. Lambert and Petit Bourg;
The TTPS is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 21-year-old Kesha Daniella Darlington.
Kesha, of Longden Street, Arima, was last seen at Jenny's Bar Longden Street Arima around 11:00 am on October 14th 2019.
She was reported missing to the Arima Police Station at 4:30 pm on October 2019 14th by a relative.
Kesha, is of mixed descent, 4 feet tall, and slim built, with a brown complexion.
She was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, a pair of jeans and a pair of black slippers.
Customers in northeast Trinidad served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant have been advised of an interruption in their water supply from midnight Saturday until midnight Sunday.
WASA said the interruption is necessary in order to facilitate emergency repairs to a leak on the 42-inch transmission pipeline, along the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway, Piarco.
The TTPS is seeking the urgent assistance of the public in locating 23-year-old Pooran Boodoo.
Pooran, of Mission Road, Upper Carapichaima, was last seen in the vicinity of the Chaguanas Flyover, on September 29th.
He was reported missing to the Freeport Police Station, around 2:00 pm on September 30th by a relative.
Pooran is of East Indian descent, 5 feet tall and slim built with a brown complexion and short curly hair.
He was last seen wearing a pair of long black trousers and a t-shirt.
