A Longdenville man is expected to appear before a Chaguanas Magistrate today, charged with the murder of Kurt Edwards which occurred on January 18th.
Kosi Jeremiah, 40, of Lamont Street, Longdenville, Chaguanas, was charged with the offence following advice received from Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions, Joan Honore-Paul.
Mr. Edwards, 28, of Longdenville, Chaguanas, was found dead with stab wounds about the body at Lamont Street, in the vicinity of the Longdenville Hindu Temple.
According to police reports, he was involved in a heated altercation with another man when he was fatally wounded.
Jeremiah was arrested by officers of the Longdenville Police Post on that same date in connection with the incident.
Investigations were supervised by Insp. (Ag.) Darryl Corrie and Insp. (Ag.) Allister Jones, both of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations (HBI), Region 3, while Jeremiah was charged by WPC Prince, also of HBI Region 3, on Wednesday 22nd January 2020.
